Floyd Kenneth Haynes, age 81, of Gainesville, entered heaven Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the home of his daughter-in-law.
Floyd was born in Gainesville on December 28, 1940, to the late John Floyd & Sarah Geneva Haynes. He retired from Simpson Trucking where he drove a truck for a number of years. He was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church where he formerly taught the older adult men’s Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Haynes; brothers, Robert Haynes & William Haynes.
Left to cherish precious memories, wife, Wilma Haynes; sons, Mark Haynes & Joe Haynes; daughter, Sarah Ann (Jeff) Bell; daughter-in-law, Adrienne Haynes; 6 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren. A number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services honoring Floyd will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Loggins officiating. He will be laid to rest at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at the funeral home.
