State troopers charged a Mt. Airy man with driving under the influence of drugs after he ran off the road and struck a tree early Monday. Kevin Foster suffered a possible broken hip and other injuries in the crash says Georgia State Patrol Post 7 Commander Donnie Sadler.
“The driver of the vehicle was unconscious when Habersham EMS arrived on scene, but after deploying a dose of Narcan and IV treatment the driver became conscious,” Sadler says.
The crash happened around 7:35 a.m. on Nancy Town Road at Welcome Home Road. The 30-year-old Foster was driving a Toyota Tundra. No other vehicles or people were involved in the wreck.
Habersham EMS transported Foster to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
