The Friends of the Clarkesville-Habersham Library (FOL) is hosting a silent auction. The auction began on Monday, May 2, and will continue until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, the day of the Mountain Laurel Festival.

All monies raised will be used to fund special programs and meet specific needs within the library. In the past, FOL has funded summer reading programs and provided large print periodicals and books.

On display in the library is a wide variety of beautiful items from Northeast Georgia artists. Beside each item is a sheet on which to place your bid.

Also, on Saturday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan Walker, well-known local artist and creator of the Neeps, will hold a book signing and drawing demonstration at the library.

The Clarkesville-Habersham Library hours: Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday.
