A wreck on GA-365 Tuesday afternoon sent one woman to the hospital after the Georgia State Patrol says she failed to yield.

Around 3:26 p.m. Tuesday, a wreck occurred on GA-365 at Cody Road, across from the Habersham Hills Cinema, between a Toyota Tundra and a Honda Pilot. The GSP, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and Habersham Emergency Services responded to the scene.

According to the GSP, the Honda Pilot, driven by a South Carolina 16-year-old, was traveling north on 365 when the Toyota Tundra, driven by Maria Arrellano-Serano, 40 of Mt. Airy, entered into the Toyota’s lane.

The GSP says that Arrellano-Serano was traveling west on Cody Road and had just stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of 365 before pulling into that lane, allegedly without yielding.

The front of the Honda struck the left front side of the Toyota, causing disabling damage to both vehicles. Arrellano-Serano was transported to Habersham Medical and has been charged with failure to yield. The teen was not transported for injuries.
