The Tallulah Falls Indians’ losing skid reached a full 3 games, as Prince Avenue came to Tallulah Falls and won a slugfest with a 16-9 final. Drew Bates homered and doubled twice to highlight the offensive output for TFS.

PAC raced out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first off Aubrey Higgins before the Indians retaliated with a pair of runs in the home half on an RBI double by Bates followed by a Frankey Moree RBI single. The Wolverines got those 2 runs back in the second to go up 7-2. In the third, Norman Bastian added a run-scoring single, and Moree scored on a wild pitch to make it a 7-4 game.

However, 6 runs in the fourth and another in the fifth gave Prince Ave a comfortable margin at 14-4. Charlton got another RBI single in the fifth, and after PAC recorded 2 more in the sixth, Bates smashed a 3-run round-tripper to right to bridge the gap to 16-8. Kylar Clouatre had an RBI groundout in the final inning.

Despite scoring 9 runs on 11 hits, the Indians were put in a bind by 7 errors committed in the field. Bates had 3 hits and 4 RBI, including his third homerun of the season. Charlton had 3 hits and Moree had 2. Higgins suffered the loss on the bump.

The Indians are now 7-7 overall and 1-4 in region play, with game 3 of the series against Prince Avenue on tap for Friday.
