Diane Alexander Roach, age 72, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022.
Born on November 28, 1949, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Lee “Jake” Alexander and Estelle Garner Alexander. Diane worked several years at Habersham Mills and was the owner and operator of Roach Sanitation for 15 years. She was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and attended Life Church in Baldwin. She loved to travel, loved her grandchildren, and was known as “Granny” to everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel “Sam” Roach; son, Perry Wayne Shirley; grandson, Easton Singleton; and brother, Eddie Alexander.
Diane is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Shirley Hix and Reggie of Alto; granddaughter, PresLee Hix; brother and sister-in-law, Otis “Doc” Alexander and Judy of Cleveland; best friends and traveling buddies, Brenda Barrett and Deb McClellon; business associate and friend, Dale Littrell; several nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, February 6, 2022, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. W.A. Jenkins and Pastor Bob Petty officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm.
Interment will be at VFW Cemetery.
