A single-vehicle crash in White County claimed the life of an Alto woman. 73-year-old Diane Roach died in the crash on Webster Lake Road Thursday afternoon, February 3.
Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville investigated the wreck. Troopers say Roach was eastbound in a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck when she ran off the shoulder of the road in a curve. The truck went down an embankment and overturned onto its roof.
A passenger in the truck was injured. GSP has identified her as 71-year-old Brenda Barrett of Cleveland. Roach was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal crash temporarily shut down Webster Lake Road as rescue personnel worked to free the victims from the wreckage and clear the scene.
