Habersham County has hired a new Human Resources director. Ann Cain will take over the job recently left open by the firing of Vinitha Robinson.
Cain comes to Habersham by way of Catoosa County where Interim Habersham County Manager Alicia Vaughn previously worked.
“Mrs. Cain is without a doubt the correct fit for our county, she is an expert in her field and her proven priority is customer service to staff and the public,” says Vaughn.
According to Vaughn, Cain has over 35 years of experience, most recently serving as HR director in Catoosa, a northwest Georgia county with a slightly larger population than Habersham’s. Cain also has expertise in other areas such as county elections and organizational leadership, a press release states. She holds a bachelor’s degree from West Georgia College and is on the board of the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association.
Cain was born in Wisconsin and was raised in Georgia. She loves the outdoors, spending time with her family and being involved in her church. She says she looks forward to moving to Habersham County with her husband and learning about the community.
“Working in Habersham, I hope to instill customer service into what I consider one of the top customer services departments,” says Cain. “Even though they are our employees, they are still consumers and I want them to feel comfortable coming to us here in the Human Resources Department”.
Director Cain’s first day on the job is Monday, January 24, 2022.
