A Cleveland man has been arrested after several months of investigation in connection with an alleged sexual battery case in White County.
Timothy Bruce Chambers, 53, was arrested on September 27 and charged with felony sexual battery against a child under 16.
His arrest follows a six-month-long investigation that began on March 23 of this year.
Hall County investigators tipped off the White County Sheriff’s Office to the alleged crime after obtaining information about it during a separate investigation. That eventually led to Chambers’ arrest, according to White County Sheriff’s Captain Clay Hammond.
Officials did not release details of the case.
Online jail records show Chambers was released from the White County Detention Center the day after his arrest on a $5,000 property bond.
