Drug task force agents arrested a Mount Airy man last week following a two-month investigation. They charged 38-year-old Ryan Terry Lovell with multiple drug offenses including trafficking Fentanyl.

Officers say they found more than 28 grams of the synthetic opioid in Lovell’s possession during a traffic stop on September 20. They also seized methamphetamine and about an ounce of marijuana, according to the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Officers also charged Lovell with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine.

A judge denied him bond, online jail records show. As of September 27, Lovell remained in the Habersham County Detention Center.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and GBI led the investigation. The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office assisted. ARDEO says the investigation is still active and ongoing.
