Tallulah Falls varsity, JV volleyball both earn splits in Wednesday action

The TFS varsity and JV Lady Indians played host to Loganville Christian and Athens Academy on Wednesday, with both taking wins over the former and a loss to the latter.

Varsity
TFS earned a split, taking a win over Loganville Christian with a 25-17 and 25-16 win in straight sets. The Lady Indians then fell 6-20 against Athens Academy in the first set of the second match and fell 20-25 in the finale. TFS is now 17-8 overall and now 1-1 in area play.

JV
The Lady Indians won in straight sets, 25-16 and 25-14 to make quick work of Loganville Christian. Against Athens Academy, the girls pushed it to three sets before falling. After dropping the first set 17-25, the Lady Indians rebounded with a 25-22 win to even the match. Athens Academy won the finale 15-11.

“Ashlyn and Skylyn Yaskiewicz dominated the front row and served very well all night along with Chesney Tanksley,” states coach Danielle Smith.

The Lady Indians JV team is now 14-7 on the season.
