The Habersham Central Raiders picked up the momentum they were hunting for Friday in their home opener against Apalachee. The Raiders defeated the Wildcats, 27-7.
The White County Warriors dropped to 0-2 Friday, losing to Hart County, 49-13. Stephens County claimed their second straight on the road at North Hall, 42-0.
In other high school football action, the Commerce Tigers traveled to Jaspar to take on Pickens County after COVID forced both their opponents to cancel. Tough break for the Tigers: Pickens won, 37-8.
