Farmers’ Market Report for May 30th

It is hard to believe that it is already the end of May. The good news is that with all this rain and heat, the summer favorites are starting to appear at the market. It will be a great day to shop the market and mingle with your neighbors at the Clarkesville Mill. Here’s what you can expect:

Kale, chard, lettuce heads and mixed, cabbage heads, kos, bok choy, fresh herbs: oregano, chamomile, cilantro, parsley, basil, peppermint, catnip, thyme, mints; strawberries and strawberry jam, large green garlic, garlic scapes, young squash and zucchini, broccoli, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, fennel, radishes, baby hakurei turnips, microgreen mix, baby carrots, sunflower shoots, spinach, baby kales, baby beet greens, sorell, very baby arugula, Chinese cabbage heads, scarlet frill mustard greens, AND….wait for it…………

A tomato or two!

There will also be breads, jams, jellies and other baked goods. Lots of craft items as well.
