Mrs. Joyce Dillashaw Armour, age 70 of Alto was called to her Heavenly home on July 3, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born in Clarkesville, Georgia on October 1, 1950, to the late Floyd Cleveland and Mae Rose Thompson Dillashaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Swayne Armour, and by two grandchildren, Kylen and Skylar. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was known as “Nanny” to all.
Mrs. Armour was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She was a member of Bethesda Fellowship where she was active in the WMU. She faithfully served the Lord and loved reading her Bible in the mornings as she drank her coffee and fed the birds.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Armour & Stanley Williams of Alto, Melissa and Kent Adams of Mt Airy, Angela and Chad Waters of Clarkesville; brother, Dwight Dillashaw of Alto; sisters, Patsy Chitwood and Martha Smith both of Alto; grandchildren, Amanda, Tambra, Kristi, Chance, Melinda, Bryan, Merinda, Hannah, Cody, Caleb, Jaston, Alex, Jordan; and nineteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Bethesda Fellowship with Pastor John Graham and Pastor Tim Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in the BC Grant Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Monday, July 5, 2021, at the funeral home.
