Howard Dwayne “Smitty” Smith, age 59 of Demorest, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021.
Born in Blairsville, Georgia, on January 19, 1962, to the late Howard Houston Smith and Geraldine Manus Smith. He was an electrician with Lumite Synthetic Industries for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Beth Dotson Smith of Demorest; sons, John Smith of Mississippi and Andrew Smith of Demorest; sister, Denise Stickles of Clarkesville; sisters-in-law, Karen Moss (James) and Jennifer Bryson (Mark); uncles, Sam Manus and Donald Manus (Elizabeth); 4 nieces.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart, with Rev. John Umberhant officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
