High school graduations continue across Northeast Georgia. Tonight, seniors in White, Rabun, Banks, and Elbert counties are scheduled to receive their diplomas, but the weather is causing problems.

The forecast calls for widespread showers and storms. There a possibility of gusty winds and frequent lightning with any stronger cells that develop.

Due to the impending inclement weather, White County has pushed back tonight’s graduation from 8 o’clock to 9 p.m. If the weather becomes too bad to complete graduation this evening, the ceremony will be moved to 10 a.m. Saturday in Warrior Stadium.

Banks County High School moved its ceremony indoors.

Those planning to attend outdoor graduation ceremonies elsewhere should monitor local forecasts and check for school updates regarding changes in times and locations.

Northeast Georgia’s graduation season ends next week when Hart County High School hosts its ceremony on June 4.
