(Cleveland)- If you live in White County, expect a call about COVID vaccines next week. The White County Health Department and Emergency Management Agency announced they will utilize the county’s Code Red Emergency Notification System to call residents and deliver a message about vaccinations.
The message will say, “COVID-19 vaccine now available at the health department, Monday through Friday, for everyone over the age of 12 years old. Appointments not required. Call 706-219-7891 for more information.”
White County Public Safety Director David Murphy says, “We have established a call center within the Emergency Operations Center to answer these calls, staffed by the Community Emergency Response Team program. These members will have bullet points of information and request if the person or family has any idea of when they may come to the health department.”
The call center will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and until 5 p.m. on Friday. All after-hour calls will be forwarded to the EMA office for follow-up the next business day.
The calls will go out in this order and time frame:

NW White Co May 17 7:45 PM
