Brothers dead after domestic dispute in Banks County

Banks County Sheriff’s Deputies say 2 brothers are dead after a shooting at a home on Highway 198.

Public Information Officer, Sgt. Carissa McFaddin, says the incident occurred Sunday afternoon, shortly after 1pm.

Deputies responded to a reported double shooting in the 2300 block of Hwy 198. Once on scene, they were met by family members who advised that an altercation had occurred between two brothers, 48-year-old Allen Sears of Commerce and 67 year old William Sears of a Baldwin address.

They say Allen shot William and then turned the gun on himself. Deputies found both deceased at the scene.
