Demorest Baptist Church invites the community to two fundraising events for their summer mission trip to Vermont. Jonah Free, the church’s Associate Worship Director, explains, “Vermont is one of the least evangelized states in the nation. Most of the population is at least two generations removed from the church.”
Demorest Baptist and Hills Crossing Baptist Church in Clarkesville will partner with a local pastor in Washington, Vermont, in ministry projects. Free shares, “Some of the ministries that were expressed as needs include construction for the church, hosting a backyard Bible club, and providing food for those in need in the community.”
The first event is the BBQ Plate Fundraiser on Friday, April 16th. The plates can be picked up from 4-6 pm. The BBQ plates are $8 and include a BBQ sandwich, chips, baked beans, sauce and a cookie. Sweet tea can be added for $1.00. All proceeds will go toward the Vermont Mission Trip this summer. Please order online by Wednesday so we can have plates prepared beforehand.
