Pastor Harris Neil Fennell, age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
Pastor Fennell was born in Laurens County, Georgia, on March 16, 1934, to the late Thelmer and Ruby Fennell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Fennell, and a sister, Greta Fay Fennell.
Pastor Fennell was a retired minister having served for thirty-one years at Smyrna Assembly of God. Other churches included: Eastside Assembly of God, Savannah, Georgia, and Newington Assembly of God, Newington, Georgia.
Survivors included: his beloved wife of sixty-five years, Ann Fennell, Clarkesville, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Henry Marsh, Jacksonville, Florida; son, Joseph Fennell, Clarkesville, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Lisa Fennell, Covington, Georgia, and Justin and Dretha Fennell, Lakeland, Florida; sister, and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Ron Bennett, Augusta, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Janet Fennell, Conyers, Georgia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 4, 2021, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia. with Pastor Jimmy Sargent and Pastor Jonathan Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the funeral home.
