Habersham Central Raider Football players are back on the field for spring practice this month. Meanwhile, their parents are busy selling discount cards to support the program.
“Since I have two Raider Football players at my house,” says parent Janet Kinsey, “we have to sell a total of 80 cards to get their football packages paid in full.”
Each of the $20 cards include coupons worth a total of $300 in savings but Habersham BOE member and former Touchdown Club President Russ Nelson says a new phone app increases the value of the Habersham Raider Cards exponentially. “The company has an app that allows you to get discounts from all the businesses on the other counties’ cards around the state.”
To take advantage of the additional savings you just enter the code from your Raider Card into the app then plug in the zip code of the area. The app will find and display all the discounts available through that area’s participating high school. There are also a number of discounts for national companies available this year.
Nelson says the Raider Card fundraiser means everything to the team, “All the money raised goes for helmets, shoulder pads, all the stuff they need, uniforms, workout uniforms – everything that football needs for grades 8 through 12 – comes from the sale of these cards.”
You can contact any football player, coach or parent connected to the Habersham Central Raider football program to get your discount card right now.
