It’s here! The opening of the Clarkesville Farmers Market is Saturday and vendors have been working hard in greenhouses and muddy gardens to bring you the freshest, healthiest food for your family. Now Habersham is a proud sponsor of the Market this year and this week marks the debut of three weekly features.
Each week during the market season we will highlight what to expect at the market on Thursday.
On Friday, we will feature several recipies for you to try with your market goodies.
On Monday, we will feature a farmer in our area and tell you about the farm, what they specialize in and show you the farm from the camera lens of Christy Berry at Berryvine Images. A farmer herself, Berry has a unique perspective that combined with her talent, make gorgeous farm photos. Check Berry’s work out at Berryvine Images on Facebook. So join us and enjoy the bounty of Habersham’s hardworking farmers!
This week at the market:
Look for all things green, lettuces, spinach, kale and chard.
Asparagus and Artichokes will also be available in Clarkesville and with the online market.
Early potatoes are so tender and delicious.
Also plants of all kinds to take home for your own gardens and flower bouquets.
Eggs, farm fresh make all the difference.
Baked goods including delicious gluten-free breads and granola
Don’t forget that next week is Mother’s Day. Many of the vendors are offering handmade crafts. Wouldn’t a handmade bag from “A Frayed Knot” make a great gift? How about some pottery or some handmade soaps?
