Habersham County Schools will be closed again on Friday, October 30. Superintendent Matthew Cooper says administrators decided to keep the schools closed due to the “significant impact” of Tropical Storm Zeta on the county.
“Habersham County has experienced widespread power outages, downed trees, and downed power lines. Ten of our 13 school campuses have been without power,” Cooper says.
Raider Stadium is among the facilities that lost electricity. Cooper says a decision will be made late Friday morning, Oct. 30, regarding Habersham Central High School’s scheduled home football game.
