A.J. Worley, age 32 of Clarkesville, passed away on October 11, 2020.
Born in Habersham County on June 10, 1988, A.J. was the son of Dexter Worley, Sr. and Dorlyn Rice Worley. A.J. was an assistant foreman on the bridge and concrete crew for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member and faithful servant at Stonepile Baptist Church where he ran the sound system. A.J. was a fantastic cook, a farmer at heart, and his Lord and his family were the center of his life. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Arthur Worley and J. W. Rice and grandmother in law Eula Mann.
Survivors include his wife Lachelle Rae Worley and son Finnley Jay Worley of Clarkesville, mother and father Dexter and Dorlyn Worley, Sr. of Clarkesville, brothers and sisters in law Dexter and Menissa Worley, Jr., and Kevin and Ashley Worley, sister Michelle Worley (fiancé Shane Tyner) all of Clarkesville, grandmothers Lillie Worley and Oveline Rice both of Clarkesville, mother in law Teresa Mans of Demorest, sister in law Leigha Mans of Demorest, nieces Chelsey Worley, Madison Worley, and Lilly Worley, nephews Austin Worley and Braxton Worley, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Stonepile Baptist Church with Rev. Connie Berry and Rev. James Pendrey officiating. Interment will follow the service in Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
