UPDATED: List of washed out roads in Habersham County

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Habersham County Fire Department, and the Habersham County Road Department continue to monitor road hazards caused by severe flooding in Habersham County.

Habersham County E-911 released this updated list of hazardous roads as of 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11:

Washed out roads with people trapped

  • Waco Smith Road
  • Paradise Park Road
  • Soque Trail
  • Earnest Dover
  • N Falling Waters
  • Twisting Ridge Trail

 

Washed out roads

  • East Mize Road
  • Cross Creek Trail
  • Creasy Patch off Mud Creek
  • New Liberty
  • Hollywood Church Road
  • Beaver Dam Road
  • Amys Creek Road
  • Woodfield Way/Oakdale Drive
  • Hazelwood/Hazel Creek
  • Yonah Post Road
  • Turnerville Circle
  • Foggy Creek Lane
  • Thompson Road/Wilbanks
  • Old River/Old Timber
  • Gilstrap/Gainesville

If you are traveling in the area of any of these roadways please be mindful of the standing water: if there is caution tape or barricades please do not attempt to go around them.

If you see any other roadways not on this list that have a large amount of standing water or the roadway is washed out, please report it to the Habersham County Dispatch Center using their non-emergency number 706-778-3911.
