Ann Meeks Tallent, age 84 of Clarkesville, mother of Ronnie, Debi, and Teri, follower of Jesus Christ, and one of the best cake bakers, cookie makers, and jam and jelly makers, has gone to be with our Lord. You could not walk into her home without having a bite of something and a to-go bag.
She had a warm smile and could make even a stranger feel like family. She will be missed by many friends and especially her family and church family.
Ann was born on March 29, 1936, to Theodore and Vera Leonard. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Ronnie Meeks, sisters Beatrice Heath and Yvonne Smith, her husbands Loyd Meeks, Roy Yarber, and Loyd Tallent. She is survived by her daughters Debi (Jeff) Meeks Creel and Teri (Larry) Meeks Lowe, and daughter in love, Sandra Hill Meeks, as well as grandchildren Heather (Tim) Meeks Taylor, Jonathan (Jenny) Lowe, Courtney (Chad) Smith, Benjamin (Corinne) Lowe, Caroline C. Creel and Zachary Creel. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Rivers Smith, Neely Smith, Turner Smith, Maddie Taylor, Abigail Taylor, Jasmine Akeman, Emme Lowe, Luke Lowe, Baylor Lowe, and Brock Lowe.
She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and the Habersham County Senior Center. Ann had lived her whole life in Habersham County and when we would cross the line from another county to Habersham County, she would always say, “Smell the air of Habersham County.” She loved it. See you in heaven Mama.
