Convicted felon among three arrested in Toccoa drug bust

A convicted felon who was out on probation is back in jail following a drug bust in Toccoa. Authorities say Austin Lee Kidd, 25, was arrested Tuesday on two probation revocation warrants and multiple drug and weapons charges. Officers arrested Kidd and two others during a search at a home at 182 Hughes Street, according to Trent Hillsman of the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO).

The Toccoa Police Department, Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Community Services assisted with the search.

In addition to the probation warrants, they charged Kidd with two counts possession of Roxicodone, two counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Agents also arrested Alyssa Kari Whitlock, 22, and Abby Gail Jordan, 26, for possession of Roxicodone. Jordan was also charged with possession of meth.

All three were transported to the Stephens County Jail. The investigation continues. Hillsman says more charges are expected.
