A 16-year-old Hall County girl faces possible charges in a weekend wreck that killed a Gainesville woman. The fatal accident happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday, September 20, on GA-11 just south of Green Circle in Clermont.

The teen, whose name has not been released, was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck north on GA-11 when she traveled off the roadway and overcorrected, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The truck traveled across the center line and struck a southbound Subaru Forester head-on.

A passenger in the Subaru, 52-year-old Stephanie Hollingsworth of Gainesville, was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Subaru, 62-year-old Tony Hollingsworth, also of Gainesville, and the 16-year-old girl were both injured. They were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Troopers with GSP Post 6 in Gainesville say all three were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in the crash.
