Hazel Hart Crumbley, age 91, of Social Circle, formerly of Alto, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Born on July 4, 1929, in Alto, she was a daughter of the late William “Will” Thomas and Josephine Anna Dodd Hart. Mrs. Crumbley was born and raised in Alto and moved to Metro Atlanta when she got married. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands: Howard Pierce, Charles Carlile, and Harold Crumbley and son, Calvin Pierce.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie Pierce Greene and Greg of Monroe; stepson, Danny Carlile of McDonough; stepdaughters: Jolynn C. Prince, Tammy Carlisle, and Deborah C. Patrick; grandchildren, Justin C. Dover and Chris R. Greene; great-grandchildren: Justin Dover, Jr., Courtney Rush, Katelyn Dover, and Brantley Dover; brothers, Kenneth Hart of Cornelia and Grady Hart of Alto; sister, Ruth Underwood of Alto; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
All attending should maintain social distancing and adhere to public health guidelines.
