(Cornelia) – The Cornelia Downtown Development Authority is hosting the 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament on Friday, August 14, at the Cornelia Community House. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and the tournament begins at 7 p.m. The tournament is double-blind draw and double elimination.
Registration is $20 per person. Prizes include $100 Visa gift cards and $50 Bigg Daddy gift cards each for 1st place and $50 Visa gift cards with $50 Bigg Daddys gift cards each for 2nd place.
“This is a very fun event to be part of. This tournament is a fundraiser for our Cornelia DDA façade grant. 100 percent of the proceeds go back to our business owners, so it’s important to have community involvement,” says Cornelia Community Development Director Jessie Owensby. “We look forward to this entertaining event in hopes of raising money for our businesses.”
