The mask ministry of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarksville needs volunteers to meet the growing demand for masks locally.

So far, the ministry has made over 4,000 face masks. These masks have been gifted to hospitals and local caregivers. The masks are also sold to local residents to raise funds for local ministries in Clarkesville and Cornelia. However, as the need for masks in schools and businesses increase, the ministry is struggling to produce enough masks.

Janice Mangimelli coordinates the work of volunteers in the mask ministry.

The ministry is looking for volunteers who have a sewing machine and can sew a straight line. All materials needed are provided as well as hands-on tutorial assistance.

Social distancing is maintained with a pick-up and drop-off area at Bethlehem Baptist Church. For more information or to get started, please contact Janice Mangimelli, the ministry’s coordinator, by text 770-710-3479 or by email at [email protected].
