Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigating early morning death

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered early Wednesday morning, April 15, just southeast of the intersection of GA 369/Browns Bridge Road and Pearl Nix Parkway.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the call at approximately 4:30 a.m. and met with Gainesville Police Officers who had located the unresponsive 31-year-old man on the ground in a wooded area behind a restaurant in the 1400 block of Browns Bridge Road.

First responders were unable to revive him.

According to initial details, an acquaintance of the man went to check on him at the location and made the 911 call.

Sheriff’s Office Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation, but there is no evidence of foul play at this time, says Hall County Sheriff’s spokesperson Derreck Booth.

The Sheriff’s Office will release the name of the deceased when family members are notified.

The body has been transported to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
