Tommy Gene Trimiar

Tommy Gene Trimiar, age 60 of Cornelia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Born in Banks County, Georgia on August 15, 1954, he was a son of the late Fred & Mamie Anderson Trimiar. Mr. Trimiar retired as a lineman with Georgia Power and also worked for Starr Auto Electric in Cornelia where he enjoyed operating the boom truck. He was a very creative person who was able to do any type of automotive work and welding. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, racing, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mt. Airy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James “Shorty” Trimiar.

Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memories, loving wife of 43 years, Earnestine Strickland Trimiar, Cornelia; son, Tommy Germaine Trimiar, Utah; daughter, Michelle Trimiar, Cornelia; brother, Leroy & Bernita Trimiar, Eastanollee; sister, Judy Trimiar, Cornelia; sister-in-law, Patricia “Pokey” Trimiar, Cornelia; grandchildren, Jayden & Jordan Prieno; Titus Trimiar; Kiyona Trimiar; Trinity Trimiar; Tayha Trimiar; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and special friends, Phillip Hulsey & Gus Arrendale.

A homegoing service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Oliver Dorsey, Senior Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday.
