Dr. Michele Shirley

North Georgia Technical College recently named Dr. Michele Shirley as Vice President for Administrative Services for the college.

Dr. Shirley previously served as Director of Administrative Services since September 2017. Prior to that role, she was the Director of Admissions and Registrar and has worked in multiple areas throughout her 14-year career with the college. Before working at North Georgia Technical College she worked in the field of banking and finance.

In her new role, Dr. Shirley oversees the business office functions as well as human resources, facilities, maintenance, bookstores, and food services. She received her Doctor of Education degree from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in Business Administration from Brenau University, and a bachelor’s degree from Piedmont College in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.

“Dr. Shirley is a tremendous asset for our college and a strong advocate for students. She is most capable and very deserving of the position of Vice President for Administrative Services,” says NGTC President Dr. Mark Ivester. “I look forward to working with her in her new role.”

Dr. Shirley lives in Clarkesville with her husband John and daughters, Julianne and Ellison. She is a member of Shirley Grove Baptist Church where she plays the piano and works with the youth.
