(Cleveland)- Residents of White County who are looking for different options to improve the quality of their internet service are invited to attend a community meeting Tuesday, March 10th, at Mount Yonah Baptist Church at 6 PM. Trailwave Fiber Internet Service is working with community members to expand high-speed broadband services in the county.
Glenn Purcell, Vice-President, Technology and Services with Habersham Electric Membership Corporation speaking with Dean Dyer of Local News Radio WRWH Wednesday morning said, whether you are a HEMC customer or Georgia Power they want to hear from you.
“Over the last two years we’ve doubled our customer accounts, we look to double that over the next three years,” said Purcell. “And how we’ve done that is partnering with areas, local areas, and neighborhoods and working with them to identify the need, build a business case and then delivering quality internet,” commented Purcell.
According to Purcell, at this meeting, local residents can help work with them to influence their buildout road map and get critical broadband service. He said 56 percent of their buildout is in rural areas that are not served.
One of Trailwave’s future goals is to provide TV streaming service to customers.
Mt. Yonah Baptist Church is located at 882 Asbestos Road, Cleveland, GA 30528
