Light snow fell in the higher elevations of Georgia Saturday, leaving about a half-inch on the ground in some places. Sky Valley got a light dusting. There were also reports of flurries in parts of Rabun and White counties.
Julie Brittain shot video of snow falling around Unicoi State Park Saturday night. Although the snow didn’t stick, it did make for a few exciting moments as people enjoyed their first snow fall of the new year.
