Hall County Sheriff’s Deputies made quick work of finding and arresting the two male juvenile suspects in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery man in South Hall County earlier this week.
The accused, 14 and 15-year-olds, both from Buford, are each charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault following their arrests on Tuesday evening, December 17.
Uniform Patrol Division Deputies responded to the call and met with the adult male victim in reference to a gunman in the 4000 block of Lanier Islands Parkway. According to initial details, the victim was delivering pizza to an address on Orchard Way. He arrived to discover the address was invalid but was met by the two teenagers.
As the victim handed the pizza over, one of the suspects pulled a handgun and placed it against the victim’s chest while the other teenager stood by the victim’s vehicle. The victim pushed the firearm away and drove off, and the suspects ran away, according to the preliminary investigation.
Roughly an hour after the approximately 9 p.m. initial call, Deputies searching the area located the suspects at a nearby residence on Walnut Trace and arrested them without incident. They also located the weapon, which was a handgun replica.
Both suspects were transported to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center. The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
