Capitol tree lighting Tuesday

ATLANTA – Governor Brian Kemp, First Lady Marty Kemp, Clark Howard, and the Georgia Building Authority will host the annual State Capitol Tree Lighting Ceremony tomorrow, December 3 at 1 p.m. The ceremony will include the reveal of the twenty-five-foot Eastern Red Cedar from Cobb County with 25,000 lights.

Clark Howard, an Atlanta native and nationally syndicated talk show host, will be this year’s featured speaker.

The ceremony will highlight the Department of Family and Children Services’ Secret Santa Program and Clark’s Christmas Kids, which provide gifts to youth in Georgia’s foster care system. Gifts collected through these programs will be distributed to over 9,000 youth in 126 counties.
