Authorities identify driver involved in multi-county police chase

(Cleveland) – The White County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver of a vehicle involved in a multi-county chase that started in White County Monday night.

Captain Rick Kelley said in a news release said that the suspect was driving erratically and failing to maintain its lane on Duncan Bridge Road. A deputy attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver fled. The pursuit continued into Habersham, Hall and then into Lumpkin County. The Georgia State Patrol became involved in the pursuit. A trooper performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle causing the vehicle to crash into a ditch in Lumpkin County.  The offender fled from the scene on foot.

During the course of the investigation, authorities were able to identify the alleged offender as 31-year old Christopher Lee Frazier of Cleveland. The White County Sheriff’s Office has taken charges on Frazier for fleeing for attempting to elude a police officer, driving while license suspended, reckless driving, and numerous other traffic violations.
