HCHS Fine Arts Night is Monday

Habersham Central High School is preparing for Fine Arts Night, which will take place on Monday, March 30th at 6:00PM. Students at Habersham Central will be showcasing current work along with new pieces of art, music and drama that is sure to amaze guests who attend.

“At 6:00, Principal Wesley McGee will welcome the audience and the program will begin with an exclusive sneak peak of the opening number of the upcoming Spring musical, Footloose,” says Jeremy Bishop, the HCHS Drama Teacher. “We will then begin break out sessions, where the audience moves throughout the building listening to singers, hearing band ensembles, viewing student artwork and demonstrations, watching scenes acted out, and generally taking in all that the Fine Arts has to offer our students at Central,” added Bishop.

Students in the Habersham Band of Blue and the Habersham Singers will also present previews up upcoming concert works that they have been hard at work rehearsing for.

The night is going to be filled with beautiful art work, gorgeous music, and entertaining dramatic performances all to show-off the students of Habersham Central High School. Some things that guests will get to enjoy are:

  • Presentations and Unveilings of Artwork by AP art Students.
  • Live Demonstrations of pottery-making and other art forms.
  • A Full performance of David Campton’s the Cagebird’s.
  • All-State Singers and Honor Band Soloists.
  • Duets and Band Ensembles.
  • Photography students chronicling the event live through Instagram.
  • Full art installations.
  • Jewelry-making students displaying and selling their pieces.
  • Unveiling of group murals.
  • The Band of Blue’s Drum Line.

Entertainment is sure to be the highlight of the night but there will also be snacks, games and certain prizes that can be enjoyed as well too! Fine Art’s Night is sure to provide quality entertainment and memories that will last a lifetime. “We hope that this inaugural event will be the beginning of a yearly tradition, the first in a long series of programs,” says Bishop.
