Funeral held for man killed in July 4th shooting

The man who was gunned down and killed outside a home in Habersham County on July Fourth has been laid to rest. Dale Littleton was a husband and father who worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was born in Habersham County but lived most of his life in Stephens County, according to his obituary.

Littleton was buried on Monday, July 8, in Toccoa.

Deputies say the 56-year-old Littleton was shot during an argument outside a residence at 3848 Antioch Church Road. They arrested 53-year-old Jerry Wall on the night of the shooting and charged him with aggravated assault. He’s since been charged with murder.
