Truett McConnell University spring graduation Saturday

(Cleveland) – Truett McConnell University will hold their spring commencement ceremony Saturday at 10 AM. Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council will be the featured speaker. Perkins, is an ordained minister and veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is recognized as the leading conservative and pro-life voice in the Louisiana Legislature.

TMU President Dr. Emir Caner says this year they are celebrating the largest graduation class in the history of TMU as well as the 70th anniversary of their first commencement ceremony. “Largest graduating class including twenty-one masters graduates, which is really big for us because we’ve just started masters degrees,” commented Caner.

This year’s ceremony will feature numerous recognitions of the past, present, and future, including alumni from the class of 1949. Dr. Caner says Truett McConnell continues to expand its programs. “There are nine different schools now at Truett, all of which have of course graduates on Saturday, including the new school of criminal justice.”

Saturday’s ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the George Blaurock Student Wellness Center. The public is invited to attend.
