A third Georgia High School Association Area 2A-Private Championship win is in the books for the Tallulah Falls School Lady Indians golf team.

According to coach Allen Campbell, this is the second consecutive year to win the tournament, held May 1 at the Georgia Club in Statham. The team has come out on top three out of the last four years.

Sophomore Brinson Hall of Mt. Airy shot a 78 finishing second, while sophomore Maggie Jackson of Clarkesville shot a 79 to finish third.

“The two-score total of 157 beat Athens Academy by one shot,” Campbell said. “The lead went back and forth all day with Brinson making a three-foot putt to clinch the win on the 18th hole.”

Sophomore Selah Anderson of Clarkesville also had a great day finishing with an 88 and fifth place, Campbell added.
