Heavy rain Friday flooded the Clarkesville Greenway near old Clarkesville Mill. (Now Habersham)
It was a Good Friday weather watchers would call anything but good. There were tornado warnings, severe thunderstorms, and flash floods across North Georgia on April 19.
A large part of the walking trail at the Clarkesville Greenway was submerged by floodwaters Friday.
A section of this drive off of Alec Mountain Road crumbled into the creek below.
By mid-afternoon on April 19 the Soque River overran its banks and flooded Pitts Park. (Now Habersham)
