TFS varsity baseball victorious over Lincoln County

The Tallulah Falls School varsity baseball team traveled south to Lincolnton to face the Lincoln County Red Devils in a doubleheader on Feb. 25. The Indians swept the Red Devils winning the first game 21-3 and the second 12-8.

For the first game, junior Thomas Harris of Clarkesville led the Indians on the mound, scattering three runs over five innings of work, according to assistant coach Dustin Rogers.

“The Indians scored 21 runs by capitalizing off timely hits and walks given up the Red Devil pitching staff, Rogers said. “Junior Davis Jennings of Clarkesville led the Indians on offense by reaching base three times on one hit and two walks.”

For the second game, Rogers said, TFS won 12-8 led by an outstanding start by freshman Aiden Gragg of Clarkesville and relief performance by senior Nathan Lewis of Cornelia.

The Indians were led offensively by sophomore Chathan Clouatre of Toccoa. Clouatre reached base five times, scoring three times, Rogers said.

Upcoming: TFS travels to Robbinsville, NC on March 5.
