(Cleveland)- The White County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a case of child abuse in the county.
Sheriff’s Captain Rick Kelley in a news release said, on February 5th the White County Sheriff’s Office received a report of child abuse at 152 Rocket Drive.
Investigators followed up with the case and executed a search warrant at that location last Thursday. Kelley said there were four children in the home ranging in ages from 10 to 15 years old.
The sheriff’s office investigation found an alleged history of abuse. Kelley said 44-year old Scott Shelby was arrested and charged with three counts of cruelty to children 1st degree and one count of aggravated assault.
Shelby still remains in the jail. Kelley said as they continue their investigation there could be additional charges.
