Firefighters responded to a house fire around 3 p.m. Thursday at 394 Cobblestone Lane in Demorest.
Personnel from Stations 12, 13 and 16, Battalion 1, and Captain 1 responded to the scene.
When they arrived, they found one room and its contents on fire. Firefighters mounted an “aggressive interior attack” says Habersham Emergency Services Director Chad Black. They kept the fire from spreading.
Black says there was some smoke damage to nearby rooms inside the house.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
