A Clarkesville woman is charged with following too closely after a wreck on GA 365 in Demorest sent three people to the hospital.
The accident happened around 7:30 Sunday evening just north of the US 441 exit.
The Georgia State Patrol says 23-year-old Rebecca Wood was driving a 2011 Nissan Sentra northbound near Iron Ore Road when she rear-ended a 2005 Buick Century. The Buick was driven by 24-year-old Jackie Dickerson of Gillsville.
Wood told the investigating trooper she did not see the other vehicle until it was too late. The collision disabled both cars and temporarily blocked the northbound lanes of the highway.
The wreck injured both drivers. A passenger in Dickerson’s vehicle, 27-year-old Krystal Livingston of Clarkesville, was also injured.
All three were taken by ambulance to Habersham Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
