Edsel Nix (center) with wife Audrey recognized by White County Commissioners
(Cleveland) – The White County Board of Commissioners took time Monday to honor 91-year old Edsel Nix of Cleveland for his service to the county. During a meeting of the commissioners, Chairman Travis Turner read a proclamation approved by the board.
Turner said of Nix, “his appreciation of the resources that God has given us has been demonstrated through his diligence, his diligent work with the Upper Chattahoochee Soil and Water Conservation District for 45 years.
Edsel Nix was instrumental in the vision and the work to make water accessible to 80 percent of White County.
He further stated they honor his stewardship and contribution to White County with this proclamation.
