Sen. John Wilkinson (R-Toccoa) will again serve as Majority Caucus Secretary. He was re-elected to the post on Nov. 13 by Members of the Majority Caucus.
“I am honored to be re-elected to serve as the Majority Caucus Secretary and am thankful my colleagues have placed their trust in me,” said Sen. Wilkinson. “Our caucus has worked hard over the past several years to ensure that our state appropriates funds conservatively and remains the best place in the nation in which to do business. I am confident that our caucus will continue to build on our success and Georgia will move in the right direction for years to come.”
Sen. Wilkinson has been serving as the Majority Caucus Secretary since 2014. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee and as Acting Chairman of the Senate Education and Youth Committee. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Administrative Affairs, Appropriations, Assignments and Natural Resources committees and as an ex-officio member of the Rules Committee.
Sen. Wilkinson was elected to represent Georgia’s 50th Senate District in 2011. The district includes Banks, Franklin, Habersham, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, part of Hall and Jackson counties.
